David Whitehead, a Calgary-based director of the firm, brings an international flair and perspective to CSG, having trained initially as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK. David joined the Royal Institution of Quantity Surveyors in 1990. Upon immigration to Canada in 2003, he joined the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and attained his credentials as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS).
With well over two decades of building project experience, David has worked in all aspects of financial management within the construction industry. A highly specialized quantity surveyor, he is able to afford clients his deep experience in the critical aspects of estimating, life cycle costing, tendering, contract placement / review, post contract control, and project monitoring. His knowledge of all types of building sectors and varied client base has provided David the opportunity to fully develop his skill set, while establishing a broad understanding of construction financial management—essential to providing reliable cost advice in today's building industry.
